Someone needs to add a speeder log to this site, so that we can list those who seem to constantly use Main Street as their highway.

Time: License plate number and what happened -speed / recklessness and so on.

The big offenders Namely big Stone truck 4and 5 in the morning and
unfortunately
THE STATE POLICE they are the worse
cocky and brazen they zip through here late for work way to much.

If they do not have sirens blaring - then I say they should not be speeding period.

We however have the best Fire company around - thank you for being there quickly!

OMG, How disgusting
I laugh everytime the guy with the van drives around with a dog pound peering out the window. But there needs to be a law for someone parading around in a wintercoat and colored long-johns for pants.
I guess that it is the matted dawg hair that make me want to puke.
but I cannot stop laughing either!

Dear OMG,
I believe that you are talking about our local nose?
I do not find that person funny at all.

A true nose it all,
nose everything, nose your business, nose all the answers, just a plain ole nosey so and so

Moreso he nose how not to be honest.

there was more, but any more and I'd be nose better than him

though someone may be venting...
to talk about a marriage is not nice, and truthfully no ones business.

Anonymous said...

Cannot vote kerry, cannot vote rob
would vote kim -she is very organized!!

Anonymous said...

seems like some of us think alike
-write in for Kim.

else it is the same nothings.

Anonymous said...

I want to vent, when is this bainbridge thing going to happen?
Anyone know?
Seems like forever that something was supposed to be built.

Anonymous said...

why does it seem that some on town council oppose the simpliest progress?
turning down coffee shops, fighting those who are sinking hundreds of thousands of dollar to bring back building.
that should be good right?

No, not for the some of them.

The redheaded one and that goofy guy who is into witchcraft seem to stop all things related to growth.
I am talking about getting back businesses that will make our town not look so sleepy.
As well our towns front desk is negative to those inquiring about opening shops. ? why who knows
shouldn't we be trying to work with those who want to invest?

They still haven't addressed the parking study they promised. -several years now
(the karate kid was in on that one)
the red-head was to do something with the parking lot around Vannort
see and hear nothing....

talk is so cheap in this town
cannot figure what their deal is

Anonymous said...

again i say sell the rest of the parking to tomes landing anybody?

again i say sell the rest of the parking to tomes landing anybody?

Anonymous said...

who sold or should sell parking to Tomes landing?
Sorry i am slow, is this an issue?
if so, explain further please

Anonymous said...

Why would Tome's Landing Marina want to buy more parking? They are regulated by zoning as to how many spaces they need to operate and they own those spaces. They are built out and will not need any more parking. Does the Town own any parking on that lot? If they do, why would they want to sell it? I guess I am not understanding exactly what the blogger is getting at.

Anonymous said...

The town actually should pursue all avenues to purchase open space for parking -grants donation the state
else they should clam up and not say one word about parking.
Since it was the council under Empress Abrams the first that allowed the state to confiscate town center for the great streetscape
a total waste of parking and for what?
So they can stop coffee shops from opening - for shame

Why isn't the a place to report those drug dealers who lurk in the shadows.

cripes one of them is supposed to have cameras on his home.
there is a whole family of them at the North end of town in the Hollow.

I know that the police are trying
but we can help?

I'm extremely angry, my grandfather used to live two doors down from the church on the right side facing the building. Not only is the house now an ugly shade of purple *blech* but the a-holes who purchased the house lied to my grandfather bold faced when they "took it off his hands." They told him that they were planning on living in the house and raising a family there, which is what my grandfather had wanted for the home, we have lived there ourselves as a family most of our lives, but the new owners decided to buy the house for $300,000 and sell it for a profit at $500,000. Not that this is at all illegal, but it really pisses me off to see our family home being used so poorly, I would have loved that house to stay in the family. This Monstrosity http://www.trulia.com/property/1059987789-50-Main-St-Port-Deposit-MD-21904 is all that is left of our beautiful family home... It really makes me quite sad.

Okay. I'm going through a mid life funk and everything is getting to me. First, it's my nasty Mother in law who has never said a kind word to me in 21 years, but pretends I'm great when it comes time for showing off her family. Yuk. She makes me puke with her phoney self. I almost hate being married because of her. The hubby doesn't step in either and he is intimidated by her. I just wish she would quit singling me out and hounding me with what she sees as funny sarcasm. Everything is mean spirited. Never has she helped me with the kids or offered to help us in any way. I'm not asking for help, but you'd think she's at least offer to be there for us. Nope. No school plays, functions, sporting events. Nothing. There is always a reason why she can't come or better yet, she says she is and doesn't show up. No explanation of any type either. Her other grandkids are sooo special and she lets me know every chance she gets. They all spend the night and they take them places like the zoo. Our kids never did any of that! Shoot, it feels good to let it all out and not have to be nice all the time! Boy. I feel better already. Thanks!

Dear a mid life funk wife.

Me too, but from the other side and for other reasons.

Do you like pina coladas? getting caught in the rain?

if so, could we meet by labor day noon.. and plan an escape.
no hatred..
just life is so short, to be miserable or unhappy!

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the laugh!!! I prefer beer. I think it's a woman's best friend!!

Anonymous said...

Okay, unhappy hubby. What's your story?? Now, I have to hear! Give me 5 mintues so I can finish this can!

Anonymous said...

just want to laugh.. smile and be happy!

tired of being the only one who see the sunnier side of things.
If I had t odo it all over again
I'd look for someone happy with themselves.

can, bottle or glass -a cold beer sounds nice
:)

I can sure relate. I've always been the positive one, but when you're surrounded by negativity, it sort of sucks it out of you! I'm afraid I'm losing my zip!
So much for that piss and vinegar I used to have! :)

mid-life funk wife,
so much more I want to say... but in a small town (or around) people
are quite nosey -- and are smart about it too!

I am being cautious - in my words , if only not to hurt someone --that is not my intent.

though also I need to (wantto) laugh and smile a little (-a lot more).
It should not be this much work to make things work --smoothly.

It is nice to relate to someone if even on a surface level.

:)

I know..I'm from a small town too. Life IS too short not to enjoy it and people should be kinder, happier, and more content with what they have. Geez, everyone is so worried about keeping up, ya know?

Here's something that bothers me. I am a compassionate person who is sometimes mistaken for a passionate person! For example, I am involved in supporting an innocent man and some people see is as a come on. Can't people be genuinely kind and sincere without strings attached?

Anonymous said...

Monk are you female?

your choice of words too could have several meanings
innocent man - as opposed to guilty
or a simple man who is worthy of your honest intentions?

Anonymous said...

mid-life wife -- are you at work?

I like your words!

I am simple in needs though have been lucky in life
I am happy for what I have earned and what life has offered (and what I have been able to give also)

I think that I just want to dance again! when things were new and you looked for the good in each other.

:)

Mid life here. Thanks for the compliment! No, I am at home. I quit a good paying job in the medical field. To me, my family is more important than living the rat race. Yea, money is nice, but we can all learn to live within our means no matter what we make! I know people who make big bucks, but are worse off because they are never satisfied. So..To me, I have chosen the simple life. I love keeping house, having a garden, walking the dog, and being here for my kids. Yea, I also like a beer every night! (just one..I don't want to get fat! haha). On the serious side; to me, the most important qualities a person can have are kindness, compassion, generosity, and sincerity..and of course, if you're a good dancer, that's a bonus!!

Anonymous said...

dear mid life,
about the same age
been awhile since we danced.

No kids at home anymore..
just the stress of whatevers

I am still a peeson who loves to dance
but I have become good to at rubbing aching parts on my partner -- so many aches
that is most of the complaints
all the time!

:)

Hey Dancer. Never give up!! Try something you like doing and do it. You're probably too nice for her and she doesn't appreciate it. Have some fun. Ride around town with a Halloween mask on..wait until you see the reaction you get! Little things like this keep me going, (and people wondering!..I'm usually professional and refined!)

Anonymous said...

a mask on in this town-- lol
:)

I have not seen anyone drive around with one on (though some should)
that would be a dead giveaway after this posting...

but I will look for you now!

-want more to meet by labor day noon

you are too funny!

Anonymous said...

Funny, yes. Either laugh or cry!!

Anonymous said...

It doesn't have to be a full mask;how about Groucho Glasses or something?

Anonymous said...

Noon on Monday? It's Labor Day. Nothing is Open!! haha

Anonymous said...

but I have groucho glasses

there is no dancing in this town anyways

hmm have to think about this!..

good job! you got me smiling nd thinking

Thanks for the fun Groucho. I think I'll be on my way..Remember, believe in yourself and believe in fun. Make today the beginning of a new start~ I am taking the same advice :)

just looking through the blog, about the drug dealers, yea something should be done. There are many users and sellers right in the the town, but many more right up the hill. If the courts would follow their recent parolees they could take alot of the drugs off the streets.(Clark lane) would be a good place to start!

hmm... kind of out of the town
but not out of the zipcode
not even sure if the local yokel joe cops even service this neck
of the woods.

isn't where that Ratledge boy lived who shot someone a couple months back?
